Buncombe County Commissioner Chairman Nathan Ramsey Receives
Steve Zamiara Excellence in Government Award

Raleigh, NC – The Steve Zamiara Excellence in Government Award was presented to Buncombe County Commissioner Chairman, Nathan Ramsey, at the North Carolina Manufactured and Modular Homebuilders Association’s (NCMHA) 2008 Annual Meeting in Pinehurst, NC. 

The Steve Zamiara Excellence in Government Award was created, in honor of former NCMHA Executive Director, Steve Zamiara, because of the work that he did for the public as well as the private sector of manufactured and modular housing industry.  The award honors public servants that have demonstrated leadership, commitment and dedication to the manufactured and modular housing industry.  Commissioner Ramsey is the first recipient of this honor.

“Commissioner Ramsey was chosen for this award because of his unending commitment in seeking more affordable housing opportunities for the citizens of Buncombe County,” said Jeff Mooring, NCMHA President.

The North Carolina Manufactured and Modular Homebuilders Association (NCMHA) is a non-profit trade association founded in 1968 to promote the ownership of manufactured and modular homes and to develop high professional standards for those involved in the industry.  NCMHA represents member companies including all of the retail sales centers in the state, all of the in-state manufacturers and virtually all of the out-of-state manufacturers who are licensed to ship homes to the state.
